Winifred is the 3rd child of Birdie Lee (Casper) and Wirt Adams Scott born November 7th 1906 in Austin, Texas. Attended Millsaps College in Mississippi. She married Marshall Smith Hester March 29, 1926 with whom she had two children, Marjorie Belle Hester and Marshall Smith Hester. Like her father and husband she worked her entire life in deaf education. On March 25, 1993 she passed away from a stroke while living at the Good Samaritan Village in Las Cruces. Cremation by the Hastings of Deming Creamation Service.
