Cecil Garrett Scott, Jr., 74, a retired printer for Geiger Printing, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at his residence in Collins, Mississippi.

Visitation is Sunday, March 29, 2009, 1-3 pm at Seminary Baptist Church in Seminary, Mississippi. Funeral services are 3 pm Sunday at Seminary Baptist Church in Seminary, Mississippi with burial in the Seminary Cemetery.

Billy King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins, Mississippi is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Scott was born on June 8, 1934, in Council Bluff, Iowa.

He retired from Geiger Printing in Hattiesburg after being in the the printing business for 38 years.

He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Scott was a member of the Seminary Baptist Church in Seminary, Mississippi.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Garrett Scott, Sr. and Ena McMullan Cain.
Survivors include: his wife of 54 years, Sue Turnage Scott of Collins, MS; two sons, Michael A. Scott and wife, Lynn of Collins, MS and Steven T. Scott of Hattiesburg, MS; two daughters, Vicki Scott Smith and husband, Robert of Moselle, MS and Melvia Scott Smith and husband, Mike of Purvis, MS; three sisters, Dorthy Baker of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mary Ellen Roe of Savannah, Tennessee, and Martha Cook of Atlanta, Georgia; uncle, Victor McMullan and his wife, Retha of Hattiesburg, Ms; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Seminary Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 81 Seminary, Mississippi 39479.
