Seth and Mary lost three children in August of 1775 ~

~ Seth, age 7, on the 10th
~ Mehetable, age 5, on the 11th
Then Seth, their father, died on the 29th, age 34.
All were descendants of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins.
Although he lost his three children before he died, Seth's line was continued as Mary was with child at the time of his death. A son, also named Seth, was born the next May. In 1880 he married Sally Snell, daughter of William and Eunice, nee Cary, Snell and they had a son, William Snell Alden.
