Beloved Mother Claimed By Death

Mrs. Harriet Newcomer Rotge, who has resided in the Pipe Creek community for the past seven years, died in the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio on Sunday, September 21, 1975.
Mrs. Rotge was born in Pipe Creek on December 31, 1904, the daughter of John Newcomer and Hattie Buck Newcomer. On May 29, 1926, she was happily married to Albert H. Rotge. Before returning to Pipe Creek to live, they had resided in Kerrville for about forty years.
She is survived by her husband, Albert H. Rotge of Pipe Creek, two daughters, Mrs. Bobby D. Cowsert and Mrs. Richard I. Helgren of San Antonio; one sister, Mrs. Sylvan Odom of Boerne,; four grandchildren, Mrs. Sherry Price of Mesquite, Miss Kerry Helgren of Austin, Miss Terry Helgren* and Mrs. Shannon Cowsert of San Antonio,; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services for the beloved lady were conducted from Plummer Funeral Chapel Tuesday, September 23, 1975, at 3 p.m. and she was laid to rest in the Pipe Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Plummer Funeral Chapel. Rev. John Wesley Jones, pastor of the Bandera United Methodist Church, officiated at the rites.
Many relatives and friends offer sympathy to her family.
