Memorial service for Milton O. Fritsch, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fourth Memorial Church. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


An 80-year Spokane resident, Mr. Fritsch died Monday.


Born in Edwall, Wash., he graduated from North Central High School and Kinman Business College.


Mr. Fritsch worked for KFPY (KXLY) radio from 1936 until he went to work for KHQ in 1945. He retired as the secretary-treasurer of KHQ in 1974.


He was a member of the Central Spokane Lions Club, YMCA Men's Club and the Fourth Memorial Church.


Mr. Fritsch was a volunteer at the Union Gospel Mission.


His first wife, Bernice, died in 1978; his second wife, Gladys, died in 1993.


Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Miller and Nancy Brown, both of Spokane, Marian Johnson of Vancouver, Wash., and Beverly Hagseth of Phoenix; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Ackley of Buckfield, Maine; a brother, Homer Fritsch of Spokane; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission.
