Service for Gladys E. Fritsch is planned for 1 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home followed by entombment at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.


Mrs. Fritsch, 86, died Sunday.


Born in Coeur d'Alene, she moved to Spokane 81 years ago. She graduated from North Central High School.


She worked as an accountant for Miller-Dervant, the Better Business Bureau, and her sister, Hazel Skog, a certified public accountant.


Mrs. Fritsch was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star and had held several offices within the Daughters of the Nile. She also was a member of Fourth Memorial Church.


Her first husband, Lyle McKnight, preceded her in death.


Survivors include her husband, Milton Fritsch, at the home; five daughters, Marilyn Ackley of Buckfield, Mass., Marian Johnson of Edmonds, Wash., Beverly Hagseth of Yakima, and Margaret Miller and Nancy Brown, both of Spokane; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
