and A.D. Provence ) they were married July 3, 1946 in Wichita Falls Texas). They had three children together Sharon, Collie (me) and Shirley Sue Provence. Mother was born in Burkburnett and spent most of her life there except for a twenty year period from about 1963 to 1983 living with her husband and kids in Garden Grove California. One of mothers daughters ( and our sister) Shirley Sue Provence died as an Infant & only lived 1 day she is buried in the same cemetery as her mother and daddy ( my parents) but in the older section of the cemetery since she died so long ago, daddy and mother are in the new section but all three of their graves have tombstones. Shirley was born in Grandfield Oklahoma just across the Red River from Burkburnett Texas because their was no hospital in Burkburnett.. But Shirley Sue is buried in the older section because she died so long ago .Even though Shirley Sue only lived 13 hours mother mourned for her baby daughter all her life. I remember as a young kid going with mother several times a year to clean her grave. Now they are together once again and her mother and daddy are finally taking care of their baby girl again. Mother's parents are Donald Cyrus Bruner and Omma (Naomi) Elizabeth(Bingham)Bruner. They are also buried in this cemetery as are four of mother's brothers, Lonnie Preston Bruner, Collie Washington Bruner ( he also went by a nickname for his first name using name of JOE instead of Collie), Euel Glenn Bruner and Billie Joe Bruner. Her grandparents on her mother's side are also buried here Christopher B. Bingham and Mary Alice(Bruce) Bingham. Mother's Bruner grandparents are Jacob McKendrick Bruner and Elizabeth Granger (Adams) Bruner and they are buried in the New Hope cemetery in Fannin County Texas. For the majority of her life mother was almost always called Pat or Patsy Ruth by her close friends never Patsy. I love and miss you terribly mother and wish you could see how great our two children Erika and Michael have done as adults and meet your three amazing and awesome great grandchildren Kody Alan Young (Erikas son) and Juliette Eleise Provence and Gabriella Therese Provence( Michaels two daughters). Mother, Erika and Michael have grown into amazing wonderful adults and both are doing good things with this world and their lives. Mother, Barb and I have been married almost 50 good years now and I'm 71years old now so I will probably be coming to see u
guys sometime in the next few years based on the lifespan of our earlier Provence and Bruner ancestors that I've researched. Love you both forever and miss you both terribly.
