In loving memory of Beth Eskelson Barney, 88, who passed away peacefully on October 30, 2007 at the Alta Ridge Assisted Living Center in Sandy, Utah.

She was born Dec. 12, 1918 in Acequia, Idaho to Oscar Edwin and Laura Lucinda Hatch Eskelson. She married Donald Franklin Barney on April 7, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away Feb. 23, 1997. She was a graduate of South Summit High School in Kamas, UT. She loved genealogy and served in genealogy extraction and in various other church callings. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She loved to do all kinds of needlework, loved flowers and gardening, and visiting with family.

She is survived by children, Sandra B. (Norman) Vance, Donald O. Barney (Barbara, deceased), LaFawn B. (Ron) Stepan, Bryce F. Barney, and JoDean B. (Randy) Pond; 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grand children; and a sister, Deone E. Rogers. Preceded in death by three great-grandchildren; brothers, DeVan Eskelson and Lenard Eskelson; and sister, Lucinda Lewis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the River Oaks Stake Center, 8950 South 1300 West. Viewings will be held Friday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
