Sarah Pounds Howser Huth was born July 20, 1922 near Chandler, Lincoln Co., OK, the daughter of Tom and Roxie Stidham Pounds. Sarah was a retired deputy court clerk and court reporter and worked for the Lincoln County Court House for many years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. On Oct. 21, 1942 she married Ira Howser who preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1970. She married Alton J. Huth on Jan 31, 1979, in Reno, Nv. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1999. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother Melvin Pounds and one sister Bessie Strong. Sarah loved playing the piano, reading, playing Bridge and visiting with friends. Survivors include her son Daryl and wife, 3 grandsons, a brother Archie Pounds of Glenpool, and many friends. A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Friday at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. The Rev. W. G. Baker of the Assembly of God Church officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler, OK.
