The location of his burial has not been confirmed. His son William Mitchell who lived on the Mitchell farm, is buried in another local cemetery. So it is possible that Abiel Mitchell, Jr is also in that cemetery. No records have been found yet.Children: Daniel Oliver Mitchell, William Mitchell, Mary Louise Mitchell, Betsy S Mitchell, Henry Mitchell, Laurie A Mitchell, Eliza A Mitchell, James Madison Mitchell. Daniel, Mary, Henry, Eliza and James came to Iowa.
The Sarah Mitchell FAG memorial attached to this page is NOT the wife of Abiel Mitchell, Jr. Research on her will shows that she had children with different names. Likely her name is Sarah Parmelee Mitchell. This Sarah is buried in a Parmelee plot in a cemetery in Davenport, Iowa. On the top of the stone it says AUNTIE.
