Marion attended Crawfordsville High School, worked at Raybestos for many years, then spent the last 9 years of his work life doing floor care at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. He was a talker and loved to chit-chat with any of the staff he ran into during the course of his work shift. His wife also works there and he would frequently pop in to see her for small talks and smiles.
He loved many things: Mushroom hunting, racing, slot cars and building model airplanes. He also enjoyed gardening and flowers. He had planted many tulips last fall that he will now view from the "other side". Most of all, he loved his family unreservedly and was absolutely crazy about his grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife are four sons; five grandchildren; one sister-in-law; three brothers; four sisters; and his dog and cat, Oaf and Pearl. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers - Loran Wrightsman, Bobby Walls and John Walls; and six sisters - Thelma Hoyt, Ruby Wrightsman, Loretta Fuller, Carol Pence, Janice Dowell and Violet Walls.
Visitation hours are from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Family and Friends Funeral Home with funeral services at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Broady officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill North Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
