Alonzo Horace Lloyd, 77, of 207 S. Garrett St., San Angelo, Texas, died at 6:20pm, Saturday, January 4, 1986, in Shannon West Texas Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lloyd was born July 17, 1908, in Haskell County, Texas to Martin Luther Lloyd and Edna Clair Campbell Lloyd. He was married to Ora Fay Haney Lloyd on November 13, 1927 in Snyder, Texas.
Mr. Lloyd worked many years as a driller in the West Texas oilfields.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday in the Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edgar Tatum, pastor of the Baptist Tabernacle officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his son Terry Lloyd and wife Marty; daughter Peggy Lloyd; and brothers; Robert C. "Bob" Lloyd and wife, Velma Ruth; Sigmon Lloyd and wife Maggie; and Ceward D. Lloyd and wife Golda all of San Angelo, Texas; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Luther and Edna Clair Campbell Lloyd.
Deacons of Baptist Tabernacle will serve as pallbearers.
