C.D. Lloyd, 86, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, in Sagecrest Alzheimer's Care Center.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Miles Cemetery.
C.D. was born Nov. 22, 1916, in Haskell County, Texas, to Martin Luther and Edna Lloyd. He was a resident of San Angelo since 1958 and a retired shop foreman for Jim Bass Ford. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a former member of Grape Creek Baptist Church, where he had numerous friends.
C.D. was married to Golda Wood in 1964 in San Angelo.
Survivors include his wife, Golda Lloyd, who is currently in Shannon Hospital, of San Angelo; sons, Bill Lloyd and wife, Carol, of Poth, Fred Alley and wife, Connie, of San Angelo, Jesse Alley and wife, Margaret, of Universal City and James H. Alley and wife, Carolyn, of San Antonio; daughter, Wanda Carroll of Miles; sisters-in-law, Maggie Lloyd of San Angelo and JoAnn Dulaney of Haskell; brother-in-law, Garland Wood and wife, Bobbie, of Aztec, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
C.D. was preceded in death by his parents, M.L. and Edna Lloyd; brothers, Horace Lloyd and wife, Faye, Bob Lloyd and wife, Velma Ruth, and Sigmon Lloyd; sister, Leola Moore; three grandsons; and brothers-in-law, Desmond Dulaney, Melton Wood and wife, Irene, and Estle Wood and wife, Josephine.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Rick Alley, James Alley, Stacey Carroll, Kelly Carroll and nephew, Robert Lloyd.
