Mrs. Emma Kantz, aged 57, of rural route No. 5, box 151, Darden road, died in her home at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon after five days' illness.

She was born June 2, 1879, in South Bend and spent all her life here. She was married in Plymouth, Ind., in 1917 to John S. Kantz, who survives her. She leaves also a son, Clarence Gohn; a brother, Joseph Hool, of Minneapolis, Minn., and a sister in Vancouver, Wash.

The body will lie this evening in the L. H. Orvis chapel where the funeral will take place at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Rev. Elmer Ward Cole, D. D., pastor of First Christian church, will officiate.
