Norma Sue Burchfield Wilson, 92, previously of Arkadelphia, Arkansas died on March 10, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Norma was born June 5, 1928, in Clark County, Arkansas, the daughter of Viola and Rufus Burchfield. She was the youngest of eight siblings.

Norma worked for many years in the Arkadelphia and Glenwood areas, starting at Levi Strauss, then for many years in retail clothing. She completed her work career with Group Living at its Beehive resale shop in her late eighties. She enjoyed spending her time at the CADC Arkadelphia Senior Activity Center playing senior volleyball and bean bag baseball, and socializing with other seniors.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Wilson; step-son, Gary W. Wilson; her devoted friend, Bill Bryant; her mother and father; two brothers; and five sisters. She was survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Walt McCloud of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Bayleigh McCloud of Lonoke, Arkansas; step-daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Jack Simmons, of Sherwood, Arkansas; step-grandson, Jeffery Wilson and family of Walker, Louisiana; and step-granddaughter Marilyn Powell and family of Gonzales, Louisiana.
