Funeral services for Gladys Raines, 80, of Coos Bay, will be held at 2 pm Thursday at the Coos Bay Chapel, 685 Anderson, with Pastor Bruce Kupfer of the Madison Street Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be at Ocean View Memory Gardens.
She was born Nov. 26, 1916, in Amith, Arkansas, and died August 8, 1997, in Olympia, Wash., of natural causes.
She was the daughter of R.A. and Viola Burchfield.
Gladys was a graduate of Amity High School.
She married Austin Raines on June 23, 1935, in Arkansas and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Gladys was a resident of the Coos Bay area for 58 years and she attended Madison Street Baptist Church.
She enjoyed flowers and had a beautiful garden. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren.
