Naomi June Ewart was born July 27, 1924, in Enid, Montana, the daughter of Francis C. and Ruth E. (Hull) Alexander. She married Frank Ponder in 1946, they later divorced. June married James W. Ewart in 1972 in Chadron, Nebraska. She was a hard worker all her life. June enjoyed working with people and was a very giving person. She enjoyed attending auctions and crocheting. June cherished spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of North Shore Church and the DAV in Hastings, NE.
June is survived by her children, Meda (Dean) Taubenheim of Hastings, NE, Randy (Darla) Ponder of Clay Center, NE, and Francis (Gail) Ponder of Columbus, NE; grandchildren, Todd Robertson, Chad Robertson, Jeff Ponder, Victoria Ponder, Drew Ponder, Vanessa Ponder, Sarah Ponder, Jessies Monks, Natalie Vacha, Michael Taubenheim, and Brian Taubenheim; sister, Olive Lamb; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis & Ruth Alexander; husband, James Ewart; daughters, Maureen Smith and Rita Smith; sisters, Jennie and Mary Jo; and brother, Jim Alexander.
