Rita is survived by: mother, June Ewart of Hastings; sister, Meda Taubenheim and her husband Dean of Hastings; two brothers, Randy Ponder and his wife Darla of Clay Center, Nebr., and Francis Ponder and his wife Gail of Columbus, Nebr.; nieces and nephews, Todd, Chad, Jeff, Victoria Drew, Vanesa, Sarah, Jessie, and Natalie; and her beloved cat, Sassy.
Rita was preceded in death by her daughter, Niomi Marie Smith; father; and grandparents.
Burial was in the Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE.
