Thelma Marie Bowman 85 of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Monday, August 27, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family. she was born April 14, 1922 at Faucett Missouri. she graduated from Faucett High School, and retired from the St. Joseph State Hospital as a food service worker. She was a member of the Hosanna Tabernacle Church.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Harold Bowman, parents Commador Dewey and Ruthie McDowell, and two sisters Mae Anderson and Opal Walker. She is survived by daughters Marla Vanhoutan., Joyce Smith, and Alma (Connie) Justus. sons Marvin, Leonard, and LeRoy Bascue, 24 grandchildren, several great grand, and 6 great great grandchildren, a brother Bill McDowell, her twin sister Velma Newberry, and sisters Dorothy Potts, and Juanita Woods. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, at the Rupp Funeral Home. the interment will be at the Faucett Cemetery, the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, at the Rupp Funeral Home
