Leonardo S. Mojica was born in Lubbock, Texas on August 24, 1956 to Blas Mojica and Nasaria Salazar Mojica who preceded him in death. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the age of 63 years old. Leonardo was also preceded in death by his brother Jose Ricardo Mojica, his sister Mary Alice Espinoza and step son Richard Aguero Jr.
He leaves behind to share his memory, his loving wife of over 24 years, Theresa M. Mojica; Children: Leonardo Mojica JR. and Leticia Monica Mojica. Step sons; Steve Aguero, Carlos Aguero, Nathan Lee Montanez, and Mario Delo Santos. Step Daughters: Stella Delo Santos, Norma Lee all of Lubbock. Sisters: Natalia Salazar. Brothers: Blas Mojica, Guadalupe Mojica, Cresencio Mojica, Basiio Mojica, all of Lubbock, Jose Antonio from San Antonio, TX. Eduardo Mojica from Georgia. 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Accomplishments: He was a graduate of Lubbock High School (WESTERNER!) He went to college for two years in accounting. He was so talented he could build a house from the bottom up, he taught many people in his life to do the same, knowing that it was only and all with God’s help.
Faith and Talents: he was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church where he often prayed rosaries, sung in the church choir, he especially loved singing praises to the Lord, he taught RCIA for 18 years and he was a Cursillista (De Colores!) He also taught CCD for 18 years, he loved serving the Lord. He loved the Lord very much and any advice he gave, was with the Lord’s help and related to the Lord. He was a man who was always there in a time of need. He always took on the world knowing he was doing everything with God’s help.
Love for his family: he demonstrated by example he planned and arranged holiday and vacation for the family gatherings so the family would be together. Our family was tremendously blessed and honored to have him in our lives. HE WAS A GOOD MAN.
Dislikes: he didn’t like cats, but he fell in love with a cat and on his last year on earth a cat was able to change Leonard’s mind about that, and the cat he warmed up to, became his best friend.
He will be immensely missed and never forgotten. We will remember him in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
