Noah Marker was born on 22 November 1887 in Nottingham Township, Wells County, Indiana, to Francis Marion Marker and Margaret "Maggie" Bever Marker. He had seven siblings in the family.

Children born to Francis and Margaret Marker were: Mary Leticia (Smith), Charles Marion, Laura Alice (Alberson), James S., Orval Isaac, Minnie Maybell (Forney, Leest, Kleis),
and George. James S. Marker was killed in an oil field accident per Christine Marker Setley.

Noah Marker moved with members of the Alberson Family when they moved from Indiana to Missouri. It was there he married Viola Oliver on 3 April 1915 in Canalou, New Madrid County, Missouri.

Their family had moved from Missouri to Creek County, Oklahoma by the 1920 census.
