Richmond, VA - David Lyle Dahl, 74, died Thursday, June 15, 2006 of emphysema.
Dahl was the son of Albert and Alma (Lewis) Dahl. He attended school in Owatonna and then joined the paratroopers for four years. On Oct. 25, 1952 he married Arretta Wooten in Richmond. He was the Vice President of Sales for Estes Truck Lines in Richmond for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Arretta of Richmond; daughter, Manina Brittingham of Richmond; son, David Dahl, Jr. of Richmond; two grandsons; sister, Arlys Severson of Bloomington, Minn; brother, Richard Dahl of Owatonna; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
A celebration of his life was held on Monday June 19, in Richmond.
