Aged Woman Dies Here Yesterday
Mrs. Lucy Ann Horton, aged 82, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Myers.
She is survived by two sons, J. B. Horton, of New Jersey, and Frank W. Horton, of Philadelphia; and two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Wallace, of Texas, and Mrs. Myers, of this city.
Preceded in death by an unnamed infant son in 1870.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, with Rev. Moody, pastor of the Gadsden Street M. E. church officiating. Interment will be made in St. John's cemetery.
Pou Undertaking company has charge of the arrangements.
Widow of the late Daniel Horton who died in 1900.
Daughter of Elizabeth Nawes (or Bowes) and John Crissy, longtime residents of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On the death certificate of Lucy, her mom's maiden name is listed as Nawes. On Lucy's brother John's death certificate, their mother's maiden name is listed as Bowes.
Mother of Blanche C. Horton Wallace, John B. Horton, Frank William Horton, Mary Elizabeth Horton Myers, and a late unnamed infant son (1870).
Lucy's daughter, Blanche Wallace, is the former Blanche C. HORTON, wife of Wendell GEORGE by first marriage, both natives of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later married Roy Wallace in Texas.
