Son of the late Lucy Ann Crissy and Daniel Horton.
Brother of Mary Elizabeth Horton Myers of Pensacola, Florida, and the late Blanche C. Horton George Wallace, John B. Horton, and an unnamed infant brother.
His is survived by several grandchildren.
Born in Philadelphia, he first moved his family to Chicago before settling in Mount Morris, Illinois, where they resided for many years. He spent his final years in Sterling, Illinois.
Interment in Oakwood Cemetery on Saturday, 16 July 1955.
