HARNESS FUNERAL
Funeral services for Mrs. Golda M. Harness, 71, of 5120 North Thirty-Fifty street, Phoenix, Ariz, who died at 2:30 am Thursday at Memorial hospital in Phoenix, will be at 1 pm Monday at the Haverstock Funeral home. The Rev. Walter Morris will officiate and burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery, Wills township. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight and until time of services. Mrs. Harness was born July 11, 1893 in Nutwood, Ind., St.Joseph county, to William and Minnie (Simcox) Reed and had lived in Phoenix for six years, going there from South Bend. She was married Nov. 24, 1909 in LaPorte to Elbert Harness, who died Sept. 24, 1939. She was a member of the Mary Vale Baptist church, Phoenix, and the LaPorte chapter of Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are four sons, Allen, Goshen; Dale, LaPorte; Wesley, Phoenix; Elbert, Walkerton and two daughters, Mrs. Wesley Worthington, North Liberty and Mrs. John Lucas, Phoenix; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Miller, LaPorte, and two brothers, John Reed, LaPorte, and Clifford Reed, Battle Creek, Mich.
