Thomas B. (Bud) Leary, age 80, a life long resident of Mohawk community, passed away Friday morning the result of injuries he received in an automobile accident Monday afternoon when he lost control of his car and hit a culvert east of Mohawk on 400N (almost in front of his house) as he was returning home from Greenfield.

A well-known and highly respected resident throughout the county, Mr. Leary, the son of Thomas J. and Marjorie (Johnson) Leary, lived his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was a farmer and road contractor, owning and operating the first gravel-dipping machine in the county more than forty years ago. Mr. Leary was an active and influential member of the Mohawk Nazarene church. he is survived by the widow, Maggie; five daughters, Mrs. Olive Price, Miss Pauline Leary, Mrs. Garnet Lowder, Mrs. Violet Beeson, Mrs. Lavonne Beeson; five sons, Thomas, Dewey, Everett, Loren, Joseph C. Leary; 24 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Maroska, of Mohawk.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Mohawk Nazarene church with Rev. Moore and Rev. Kinnaman officiating. Burial will take place in the Reeves cemetery.

The Lynam Funeral Home announces that friends may call at the Leary residence afternoon Saturday.
