Sarah Ann Leary was born to Thomas J & Marjorie (Johnson) Leary in Hancock County, Indiana. Her siblings were; Thomas J, Mary M., Thomas Bud, Louisa O., and James H. Leary. Her brothers always referred to her as "sister Sarah." She also had half-brothers; John, Perry, Lewis, Willis, and David Leary and two half sister Emley, and Eliza Jane (James) Flippo.
Sarah's father, Thomas J Leary migrated to Hancock County from Bourbon county, Kentucky. Her mother, Marjorie Johnson, was the daughter of Peter and Mary (Eakes) Johnson. Peter was born in South Carolina and migrated to Wayne County, Indiana and then to Hancock County, Indiana. Mary Eakes was the daughter of Dudley and Marjorie Eakes and migrated to Hancock County, Indiana from North Carolina.
Sarah married Martin Walker March 27, 1880 in Hancock County, Indiana. To this union was born a baby girl, Julia. Julia died on January 15, 1883 at age 2 years. Mr. Walker died May 9, 1883.
On August 28, 1886, Sarah re-married Anthony Henry Maroskey. Anthony was the son of Anthony Henry Sr. & Christenia (Koch) Maroskey (Maroska) who immigrated to the United States from Prussia settling first in Franklin Twp. Marion County, Indiana and then moving to Hancock County, Indiana.
Sarah & Anthony H Maroskey had 4 children, Goldie M (Maroskey) Williams, Julia Y (Maroskey) Flanagan, son Martin Maroskey who died in infancy, and Opal F (Maroskey) Murphy.
Sarah & Anthony lived on the Maroskey farm located one mile north of Mohawk, Indiana on the west side of the road.

Prominent Resident of Mohawk Community Dies at Hancock County Hospital Early Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah A. Marosky, a well known resident of the Mohawk community, will be held at the Pasco Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. J. P. Rousch, pastor of the Mohawk E.U.B. church officiating. Interment will be made in Park cemetery.
Mrs. Marosky"s death occurred at Hancock County Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning at 2:30 o'clock. She had been a patient at the hospital since falling at her home three weeks ago. She was 89 years old.
Mrs. Marosky was born in Mohawk, the daughter of Thomas B. and Marjorie (Johnson) Leary. She was the widow of Anthony Marosky.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jesse E. Williams and Mrs. Paul Murphy, both of Mohawk; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A sister and brother preceded her in death.
