Carlos Oscar Walker, 78, Athens, died at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. James Manning and the Rev. Charles Chastain officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, Spry Funeral Home was in charge.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lunar Walker; two daughters, Mrs. Coley Coffman, Athens, and Mrs. Eva Cox of Killen Rt. 2; three sons, Marvin Walker of Huntsville, Cleo Walker of Erin, TN, and Winford Walker of Chicago, IL: three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Thompson, Mrs. Ada Emerson and Mrs. Ida Gross; a brother, Erskine Walker of Winter Haven, FL; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Walker was a farmer.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
