Last rites for John William Walker, 46, who made his home in the Fifth Avenue Apartments, were conducted this afternoon at Mr. Pisgah Baptist Church. the Rev. W. J. Perkins officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with McConnell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Walker died Sunday night in the University Hospital, Birmingham, following a lengthy heart ailment.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sara F. Walker, Athens; one daughter, Sara Ann Walker, Athens; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Walker, Athens Rt. 8; two sisters, Mrs. Coley Coffman, Athens Rt. 8, and Mrs. James H. Cox, Killen Rt. 2; three brothers, Marvin Walker, Cleo Walker and Winford Walker.
