Cora E. Beahm, 92, of Roanoke, died in a Salem hospital, Wednesday, March 3, 1993. She had been a resident of Friendship Manor for almost eight years. She was born at Brentsville, Va., Prince William County, February 19, 1901, and was a daughter of the late George W. and Alverta Early Beahm. Miss Beahm was a member of the Nokesville Church of the Brethren. She is survived by three sisters, Hazel B. Bucher and Ella A. Beahm, both of Roanoke, Rosa Lee B. Rankin of Catlett, Va.; also surviving are four brothers, H. Early and Charles M. Beahm of Roanoke, Ralph E. Beahm of Staunton and J. Robert Beahm of Nokesville; also are surving are a number of nieces and nephews. Miss Beahm was an elementary school teacher in Prince William County for seven years. In 1928 she changed careers and was employed 33 years with the Southern Railroad in Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6 at 1 p.m. in the Nokesville Church of the Brethren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the building fund for the Nokesville Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel.
