Elizabeth Durbin was born May 6, 1869, in Harrison County, Kentucky, to parents Napoleon Bonaparte Mirabeau Durbin (1815-?) and Cynthia Hill (1832-?), both born in Kentucky. Elizabeth was the youngest child in a family of four known children. Her brothers and sister were: Daniel Durbin (1862-1949), John Durbin (1865-?), and Mary Durbin (1866-?), all born in Kentucky
About 1891, Elizabeth married Dr. James B. Adams, a dentist born in Montgomery County, Kentucky (1861-1908). James was a son of George Q. Adams (1836-1900) and Mary W. McIntire (1840-Bef 1920), both born in Kentucky.
James and Elizabeth settled in Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky, where he opened his dentist office, and they had four sons: Cleon B. Adams (1891-1965), James D. Adams (1893-1938), Vernon Adams (1896-1977), and Wilson Adams (1899-1921), all born in Harrison County.
Elizabeth remained in Cythiana with her four sons after her husband died in 1908. She died Dec 19, 1927, in Harrison County, Kentucky. Both Elizabeth and James are buried in Battle Grove Cemetery.
