Passed away Monday at home.

Son of Robert and Mary Salts Townsend.
Married Linda Sue McKinney August 21, 1969 in Covington, IN. She preceded him in death March 8, 1996.
Survivors include son Scott D. (Denise) Townsend; daughter Sabrina (Jimmy) Thomas; sister Lois (Paul) Boswell; grandchildren Dakota and Breann Townsend, Tabitha Lomax, Cayla Fuller, Donna McNeely, Vanessa Bauer; several great grandchildren.

1965 graduate of Covington High School.

Enlisted in the US Navy for four years, serving during the Vietnam War. He then enlisted in the US Air Force, serving 20 years before retiring.
He worked at a few jobs around the area after retiring.

He enjoyed working with wood, fishing, and air boating in Florida. He enjoyed working with horses, and enjoyed his most recent dog Taz, and he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Funeral service 2pm Thursday January 14 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg.
Burial at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.
Visitation one hour prior to service.
Memorial donations may to Wounded Warriors.
