“Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Clawson, 64, 1665 S Towpath Road, Covington, died at 12:11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2003 in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born February 23, 1939 in Covington, the daughter of Robert E. and Mary Adeline Salts Townsend. She married Fletcher Clawson December 3, 1961 in Covington. He survives.

She was a life resident of Covington and a homemaker.

Survivors, besides the husband include: two sons, Michael (Teresa) Clawson and Steve (Terina) Clawson, both of Covington; a daughter, Kelly Clawson, Covington; six sisters, Joyce McDonald, Williamsport; Peggy Hancock and Sandy (Jerry) Lawhorn, both of Westville, Illinois, Alys French and Janice Knight, Both of Veedersburg, and Lois (Paul) Boswell, Danville, Illinois; five brothers, Fred Townsend, Dallas, Texas, William Townsend, Pontiac, Illinois, Jerry (Linda) Townsend, Covington, Richard Townsend, Veedersburg and Robert Townsend, Westville, Illinois; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
