Laura Belle Watts, 83, passed peacefully and met her Lord and Savior January 3, 2021. She was born April 8, 1937, to Elburn and Ruby Auvenshine. Laura married her loving husband of sixty-six years, Ernest W. Watts, April 24, 1954.

Laura lived in the Comanche County area most all her life. She was raised in Beattie. She was a devoted and selfless homemaker for her family. She assisted Ernest with his grocery profession occasionally as needed. Laura was Baptist and attended St. Joe Baptist Church for many years. She was a woman of many talents but especially enjoyed sewing. Laura's family was the greatest joy in her life, and she was always her happiest while in the company of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Laura is survived by her husband, Ernest; son, Rickie Watts; daughter, Melinda Gay Childers; sister, Faye York; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry, Gary and Dale Auvenshine; and sister, Bobby Nelms.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 1 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Brother Matt Morton officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made St. Joe Baptist Church in memory of Laura.
