Jerry Lynn Auvenshine, 79, of De Leon, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019.
He was born July 13, 1939, in Gorman, Texas to Elbern and Ruby Keith Auvenshine.

Jerry lived in Comanche County most all of his life. He worked for Comanche County Tractor as a diesel mechanic for several decades. He loved working on tractors alongside his long time employers, the Stephens family. Jerry enjoyed spending his spare time outdoors fishing and hunting. He also loved watching the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with this family. Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff Auvenshine and wife, Rhonda, and Jason Auvenshine; daughter, Becky Koonce and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Justin Auvenshine, Josh Auvenshine and wife, Kristina, Brittney Stewart and husband, M.J., Alicia Self and husband, Dustin, Kylie Koone and fiancé, Logan Knight; Trey Auvenshine, and Dillon Auvenshine; great-grandchildren, AJ Stewart, Case Stewart, Blakely Stewart, John Auvenshine, Truett Self, and Strayleigh Self; sisters, Laura Bell Watts and Faye York; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Elbern Lester Auvenshine and Ima Ruby Keith Auvenshine; brothers, Billy Wayne Auvenshine, Dale Auvenshine and Gary Auvenshine; sisters, Sarah Jane Auvenshine and Bobbie Joyce Auvenshine Nelms; and grandson, Colby Lynn Dexter Auvenshine.
