Earnest Weldon Watts, 89, passed peacefully from this life and met his Lord and Savior April 12, 2021.
He was born February 28, 1932, in Gorman, Texas to Earnest and Cloe Watts.
Weldon married his loving wife, Laura Bell Auvenshine, April 24, 1954.

Weldon lived in Comanche County all his life. After completing high school, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a Christian and loved the Lord. Weldon was employed in the grocery business most all his working life. He was a kind and friendly man and enjoyed the many relationships he built working in the local grocery stores. In his spare time, Weldon loved to fish and spend time outdoors. He was a gifted guitar player and wrote many songs about and for his grandchildren. He was a loving husband to Laura Belle, a devoted dad to his children, a doting grandfather, special brother, and sincere friend to many. Weldon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Weldon is survived by his son, Rickie Watts; daughter, Melinda Gay Childers; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife in January 2021; his parents; and two brothers, Dale and Bobby.
