Patrick was the son of Thomas Clinton and Anna Clark. He married Anna Warren on April 16, 1875 in Dixon, IL. They were the parents of Anna, Thomas, Mary, Charles, Michael, and Kate.
Denison Bulletin - Wednesday, March 4th, 1914 - Patrick Clinton, one of the pioneer residents of Crawford county, passed away at his home south of Buck Grove on Monday, February 23d, at 9:30 p.m. after an illness of only a week's duration. Mr. Clinton has suffered considerably with asthma and only recently contracted a cold, which grew into pneumonia and all that medical aid and loving hands could do for him was of no avail.
The deceased was 76 years of age at the time of his death and leaves to mourn his death a beloved wife (Anna Warren Clinton) and six children, namely: Mrs. Anna Benton, Thomas Clinton, of Buck Grove; Mrs. Mary Laird, of this city; Charles Clinton, of Portland, Ore.; Michael and Miss Kate Clinton, at home. Funeral services will be held at the Catholic Church in Manilla Thursday morning and burial will take place in the Catholic cemetery at that place. The Review joins with a host of friends in extending its heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family in this their hour of sorrow.
