Bob Nugent, 93 years, passed away on December 2, 2017 at Oak Cottage Memory Care. At the time of his passing, he was with his wife of 71 years, Beverly, and daughter Linda. Bob was born June 6, 1924 in Harper, Kansas. He was the youngest of five children. At the age of five his family moved to California hoping to find a more prosperous life. It was here that he would meet the love of his life, Beverly Anderson. During WWII Bob served 3 years in the Navy on ships in the Pacific. After leaving the Navy in 1946, Bob and Beverly were married in Los Angeles. They lived in Encino with their two children, Bobby and Linda before moving to Westlake Village where they would live for the next 38 years. Besides his successful business career in the food industry, Bob was a member of the Reseda Masonic Lodge for 62 years. He was a proud Irishman who loved to play golf, often 3 times a week after retirement. He and Beverly enjoyed traveling with friends and playing many famous golf courses abroad. Most of all he loved spending time with family. He had 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who adored him. He was a very kind man, friendly to everyone, and greatly loved by those who knew him. The family wants to extend their gratitude to Oak Cottage, and their wonderful caregivers for their kindness in his final days. There will be a private service for family through Welch-Ryce-Haider.
