Gladys Bland of Athens died Monday. She was 91.
Mrs. Bland enjoyed quilting, gardening and flowers. She was a member of the Ardmore Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Rufus Gowen and her second husband, Linzie Alvin Bland.
Survivors include three daughters, Shelby Webb of Flint, MI, Joyce Ridinger of Prospect, TN, and Carolyn Tyler of Birmingham; one son, Thomas Gower of Ardmore; two stepsons, Wayne Bland of Ardmore and Bobby Bland of Pulaski, TN; two brothers, Grady Atkinson and Alvin Atkinson, both of Elkmont; one sister, Mattie Lou Hogan of Athens; and 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with Douglas Eubanks officiating. Burial will be in Sylone Cemetery.
