Janie was the daughter of Thomas Harrison McDaniel and Margaret Elizabeth (Herring) McDaniel.
She was married on September 29, 1892 in Comanche County, Texas to W.A. "Bud" Smith. They had no children together, but Janie raised Bud's young daughter, Perlor.
The picture of Janie was in my grandmother's box of pictures and I took the picture of her headstone in 1996.
