According to "Indiana, U.S., Death Certificates, 1899-2011" she died in 1944 in Henry County, Indiana, i.e., the year after she was married to Bedford Mack Herron. Her listed name on her death certificate was recorded as "Jessie Westcott Herron".
OBITUARY - Published on Jan. 22, 1944, in "The Indianapolis Star" newspaper of Indianapolis, IN., on page 6, and in "The Star Press" newspaper of Muncie, IN., on page 2:
"Mrs. Jessie Westcott Herron, 62,
wife of Bedford Herron, died at
her home this morning, following
a long illness. She was a member
of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs.
Gerald W. Bailey of New Castle;
one granddaughter and one grand-
son and four sisters, Mrs. Mary
Isgrigg, Mrs. Alta Playfoot, Mrs.
Ethel Grayson, and Mrs. Fred
Ellis all of Indianapolis. Funeral
services will be held Sunday at the
Methodist Church."
The "Mrs. Fred Ellis" was her brother Charles Fredrick "Fred" Ellis. He died the year after Jennie died, i.e., 1945.
