Marjorie Caryl Anderson-Cochran, known to all who loved her as “Midge” passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Born May 8, 1930 in Davison, MI, the daughter of Lawrence and Stella (Goudy) Caryl. Midge moved to Rockford where she married and had two sons. She worked a variety of jobs including time at Glenwood Center and then retired from Rockford Memorial Pathology Department. She married the love of her life, Russell “Russ” Cochran on February 21, 2008 at Valkkomen Plaza. He predeceased her in 2019. Midge was an avid bicyclist and long-time member of the Blackhawk Bicycle Club. She cross-country skied, roller bladed (not always well), and enjoyed eating out on a regular basis. Midge dearly loved her cat, Skeeters, as well as the many pets she sat for in Rockford and during her time in Bloomington. A portrait of one of her favorites to sit for, Angus, hung on her apartment wall. She always enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her many grand pets.

Survived by her sons, Tim (Sue) Anderson of Rockford and Dan (Wendy) Anderson of Normal; grandchildren, Brandon (Lena) Anderson, Michelle (Kenyon) Knight, Christopher (Emily) Anderson and Kevin Anderson; great-grandchildren, Loren, Marici, & Chela Anderson (Brandon), Oliver Knight (Michelle) , and Madison Anderson (Christopher); dear friend, Amber; the amazing group at Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Rockford and her many friends at Valkkomen. The family would like the thank Northern Illinois Hospice for their care, support and guidance.
