Thelma Lucinda Wilcutt peacefully joined her Lord on November 26, 2020. She was 98 years old.

She was born Thelma Lucinda Russell on November 12, 1922, just outside Poplar Bluff, MO. In 1940 she married Roy Laverne Wilcutt also of Poplar Bluff.

She raised seven children; four boys and three girls. She was a Mom who devoted her life to raising her children and helping raise and nurture her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Through the years she also helped to raise the children of many friends and developed special relationships with those children and their families, most of whom referred to her as Grandma. Although she went through many difficult times through the years, she loved life and always approached it with a positive and accepting attitude. She had a warm and loving way about her that attracted others and helped her develop countless close and caring relationships over the years.

The Church was a big part of Mom's life as were the many pastors she knew and admired and the friends she developed through her unwavering church attendance. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and often referred to church members to whom she was close and to Pastor Dennis Ward. Her other great passion was her love for the St. Louis Cardinals. Unless sleep interfered, she never missed a game and her home was filled with Red Bird memorabilia.

Mom was blessed with the gift of gab. She loved to tell stories about her family, friends and relatives. Don't call Thelma unless there's nothing on your schedule. She had an incredible memory and could opine for hours about even the most distant of relatives and acquaintances. By the grace of God, she was able to retain that memory throughout her life. She was a special Mom, relative and friend and we will all miss her laugh, her smile her happily expressed mannerisms and the many anecdotal stories she shared. We love you Mom!

Mom was preceded in death by her husband Roy Wilcutt, two sons, Bobbie Wilcutt and Glenn Wilcutt and two grandchildren, Adam Wilcutt and Tracy Wilcutt. She is survived by sons Gary Wilcutt of Overland Park, KS, and Mike Wilcutt (Connie) of Scott City, MO; and daughters Kathy Ray (Raymond) of Conway, AR, Sherry Griffin of Poplar Bluff, MO and Jan Bennett (Doug) of Poplar Bluff, MO. Additionally, she is survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 am Wednesday at Memorial Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 11 am. Rev. Dennis Ward will officiate. Interment will be at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. Face Mask and social distancing required
