Glenn Allen Wilcutt, age 75, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away on February 9, 2019, at Tri-Star Hospital in Nashville, TN. Glenn was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, on August 22, 1943. He graduated from Poplar Bluff Senior High School in 1961. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for the next 4 years. Glenn was stationed out of New London Naval Base in Connecticut and served on a combat ship that patrolled the Gulf of Mexico and was actively involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. He was a Vietnam Era veteran who was honorably discharged in 1965. After the Navy, Glenn moved to St. Louis, MO and went to work for Ford Motor Co. Later he left Ford and joined General Motors in St. Louis. In 1981, GM transferred Glenn to Bowling Green, KY, to work in their newly opened Corvette Division where he served as a Quality Engineer. He received several Certificates of Accomplishment including the “Corvette Excellent Award” for outstanding accomplishment. He retired in 1998 after 30 years of service. During his years in Bowling Green, Glenn earned an Associate Arts Degree from Liberty University and after retiring was a substitute teacher for the Warren County Kentucky School System. He was also a member of the Freewill Baptist Denomination and was a Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent.

In 1974 Glenn married Judith Ann Faughn of Poplar Bluff, MO. In 1990 they were blessed with the arrival of a son, Marc Stephen Wilcutt. Glenn was a wonderful loving father and always had a very special relationship with his son Marc. They shared many happy times together. Glenn would want to be remembered as a Father who had unconditional love for his son Marc and a great love for his family.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father Roy Laverne Wilcutt, and his brother Bobbie Alvin Wilcutt. He is survived by his former wife, Judith Ann Davis and his son Marc Stephen, both of Bowling Green, KY.; his mother Thelma Wilcutt and sisters Sherry Griffin and Jan Bennett, all of Poplar Bluff, MO; sister Kathy Ray of Conway, AR; brother Roy Michael Wilcutt of Scott City, MO; and brother Gary Wilcutt of Overland Park, KS

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Mr. Ralph Innes officiating.

The family request that no flowers be sent and that any expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
