Nathan Bollinger of Palmerton R. 1 died at his home Friday after an illness of about one year. He was 64. A native of Polk township, Monroe county, he was a farmer in the Little Gap section for the last 44 years. He was a school director in his community and a member of the Lutheran church at Palmerton.
He is survived by eight children, William of Lehighton R. 3; Frank, Charles, Richard, Mahlon and Mrs. Jacob Serfass, all of Palmerton R. 1. and Mrs. Guy Smith of Kunkletown R. 1. He also leaves 40 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Other survivors are three brothers, Jonas, Little Gap; George, Pine Grove, and James, Topton; and three sisters, Mrs. Frances Zettlemoyer, Tamaqua; Mrs. Harry Diehl, Lehighton R. 3, and Mrs. Clyde Zimmerman, Lansford.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p. m. at the Hamm, funeral home, Brodheadsyille, the Rev. Ralph Hartzell of the Pleasant Valley Lutheran parish in charge. Burial will be in the Towamensing cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening.
