Francis Jones Aaron, Grayson GA, loving husband and father of three, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the age of 93.

Francis was born in Jasper County on May 18, 1927 to the late Cephas Venus Aaron and Cora Jones Aaron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Venus Aaron.

Francis married Bobbie Rearden on June 11, 1947 and they shared 73 beautiful years together. He graduated from Monticello High, and went on to attend Emory at Oxford before entering the Army Air Corps. After serving, he completed college at Georgia State University with a degree in journalism. He immediately went to work for Dixie Contractor Magazine, where he served as Editor, Advertising Manager and President for 50 years.

Francis served the Lord in three churches, Inman Park Baptist, Glenwood Hills Baptist and Mountain Park First Baptist Church, where he combined his two favorite hobbies of singing and playing the piano. He enjoyed leading the music at Glenwood Hills Baptist for many years. He was known by all for his quick wit, his infectious smile, his kind and compassionate spirit and his love for the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Rearden Aaron of Grayson; son, Frank J. Aaron (Priscilla); daughter, Debbie Aaron Bullard; son Christopher Allen Aaron (Sandra); seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, at 2 p.m., at West View Cemetery. Foy Rearden will officiate.
