Peter G. Edris, 79, husband of the late Emma Smith Edris, of York, died Wednesday in the York Hospital. Born in Fredericksburg, he was a son of the late Elias and Cordelia Gingrich Edris. Edris was a retired carpenter and salesman. Survivors include eight children: Emma, wife of Curvin Smith, Palmyra; Cordelia, wife of Charles Huber, Schaefferstown; Lloyd, Lebanon RD 5; and Harold, Warren, Paul, Lee and Merby, wife of Robert Breneman, all of York County. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Susan Ziegler of Richland; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A son, Peter Wayne, and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
