Bertha Browning Thomas, age 85, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Stone Springs of Vandalia, in Vandalia, Ohio. She was born May 17, 1935, in Bond, Kentucky, to the late Willie H. and Martha Wright Browning. Bertha loved attending Northridge Freewill Baptist Church and spending precious time with her family. She was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: five sisters, Hazel, Myrtle, Opal, Ruth and Bobbie; and four brothers, Clyde, Everett, Rexel and Willie, Jr. She is survived by: a sister, Anna Browning; a special niece, Donna Glenn, and her husband, Larry; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, at Morton and Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 South Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Steve Nickels and Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Willow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bertha should be made to Holy Ground FWB Youth for Christ Camp, 4800 Payne Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45414.
