Thomas was the son of John Peaslee and Abigail Crawford. He was born in Bridgewater Township, Grafton county, New Hampshire. Around 1856 he married Louisa Blake and they were the parents of Franklin Peaslee. Thomas enlisted April 16, 1861 in the 6th New Hampshire Regiment. He was discharged for disability May 7, 1861. After the death of Louisa, Thomas married Georgianna Benton Small on February 24, 1873 in Ashland, New Hampshire. Thomas and Georgianna were the parents of Edna Peaslee. Thomas was an engineer at the paper mill in Ashland.
