Laura Peaslee was the daughter of John Peaslee and Abigail Crawford. In May 1850 she married True Spiller. They were the parents of Charles, Willis, Arthur, Mary, Janette, and Nathan. Laura died after child birth February 20, 1862. She was originally buried in the cemetery in Bridgewater, New Hampshire but she was moved to Green Grove Cemetery June 6, 1904.

Laura's husband remarried and moved the family to Franklin Grove, Lee County, Illinois.
